Kind Hands Adult Social Day Program is a non-profit organization located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Longmeadow, MA. It is designed to provide a comfortable and home-like environment for its guests.
Our non-clinical, social program has been thoughtfully designed to offer a safe, social and secure setting, in a private home, for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia and other related cognitive impairments. Warm, caring and specially trained caregivers provide a purposeful and fulfilling day, in a warm environment filled with positivity and special attention.
Our home is equipped to provide specialized care tailored to the unique needs of our participants. Our goal is to enable our guests to feel connected and supported, giving them a sense of being at home with family and friends. We also want to provide much-needed respite support for the primary caregivers of our participants, so that they can do the things they need to do without worrying about their loved one’s safety.
Kind Hands Adult Social Day Program offers a range of services and programs including:
- Exercise & Gardening, Music & Art
- Cognitive & Interactive Therapies
- Nutritious Meals (Snacks & Lunch)
- Cueing for continence care
- Medication Reminders (if applicable)
- Recreational and Social Activities designed for individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia
- Outings/Participate in Local Senior Centers and Events
- Transportation (when available)
Operating Hours
Monday - Friday from 9:30am to 4:30 pm. All guests can join us anywhere from 2-5 days per week (2 -day per week minimum).
About Us:
Kind Hands Adult Social Day Program is a non-profit organization created by local owners Liz Davila and Jan Maggs, of Kind Hands Care at Home, Home-Care Agency operating out of East Longmeadow since 2013. Through their years of caring for seniors in their homes and assisting families as they navigate through the maze of caring for an aging loved one, Jan and Liz realized there were more resources needed to support families and caregivers, from which the Kind Hands Adult Social Day Program was born.
